In the
Northeast corner of Montana lies a rich heritage dating
back to the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It was
here that Lewis and Clark followed the Missouri River
into Montana. Around the turn of the last century,
legendary outlaws also roamed this region along the
northern stretch of the Outlaw Trail. You can hang out
in cities where history has been preserved in parks,
galleries and museums that reflect this rich, exciting
history. You will also find many activities, such as
Indian pow-wows, county fairs, wildlife watching, hot
air ballooning, rodeos, hunting, fishing, floating,
wagon trains and golf, to educate and entertain you.
Fort Peck Lake has over 1,500 feet of shoreline offering
year-round recreation. Visit and enjoy the western
hospitality, historic buffalo jumps, miles and miles of
wide open spaces and the most spectacular sunsets.
